Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is an actress and model. After making her debut in a feature film with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to play anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Donovan was Charlotte as Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody began modelling after being approached by an experienced photographer. The result was an enviable modeling career in the commercial world. Doody did not like glamour or nude work, a rule that she incorporated into her acting. Having come to the attention to the director of casting for an upcoming James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was listed within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 promising actors in 1986. 38. At just 18 as she played the role Doody was and is - the youngest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 featured her in the lead role in Sapsorrow as well as John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the 1988 movie Taffin opposite Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors that have played James Bond. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She was chosen to succeed Cybill Shepherd as the spokeswoman of L'Oreal She went on to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery the agent's girlfriend. Doody's return to the screen was in 2003, when Michael Caine played Doody in an uncredited role. She also appeared in 2004 with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. Doody was also cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Doody appeared on RTE's medical drama The Clinic. The project was later shelved. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). She was given the Almeria film award on 21 November 2018.
